Bloomington Organic Gardeners Association
Posted on: Wednesday,December,7th,2011 at 4:47 pm
The Bloomington Organic Gardeners has emerged from the Grow organic Educator Series that the Center for Sustainable Living presents in conjunction with Bloomington Parks and Recreation, Hilltop and Bloomingfoods. The members of this group, who have completed the Grow Organic Educators Series, have put together a series of activities and workshops for themselves and interested people in the community.
To receive e-mail notifications of the BOGA event calendar and to learn about upcoming BOGA meetings, e-mail Julie Flaherty at bogagoes@hotmail.com.
MISSION
The mission of the Bloomington Organic Gardening Association is to cooperatively educate about organic gardening and lawn care through workshops and field trips in the city of Bloomington and Monroe County. Volunteers will do this by having regular meetings to network and inform people of community events and by providing an event calendar.
BOGA Plant Swap at the Farmers’ Market May 5th
Join us for a free plant swap on Saturday, May 5, from 8:00am to 1:00pm at the Bloomington Farmers’ Market. Native plants, tree saplings, and seeds are especially encouraged but all non-invasive plants are welcome. Share your extras with fellow gardeners and pick up a few new plants for your yard or garden. This is also a great opportunity to learn about BOGA.
