Clips Beer and Film Tour 2014

Posted on: Tuesday,May,8th,2012 at 11:59 pm

Join us for the 2014 Clips Beer & Film Film Festival on Friday, May 30th in Bryan Park from 8:00pm to 11:00pm.   This year the event is being hosted by Open Streets Bloomington, a project of the CSL.

All ages are welcome and entrance is FREE.  The film festival, sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Company, will feature inspirational short films about bicycling and sustainability around the world.  Food and beer will be available for purchase.  We encourage everyone to bicycle, walk or carpool to the event if you can.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!  This fundraiser for Open Streets requires 65 volunteers, including 17 people with bartender permits to assist with serving beer.  We are looking for volunteers to commit by Wednesday, May 7th so that they can apply for temporary bartender permits and attend a beer tasting on the 7th.  Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Set Up Crew 10:00a to 4:00p
  • Beer Servers 7:00p to 12:00a
  • ID Check: Writstbands & Beer Tokens 6:30p to 12:00a
  • Mystery Beer Taste Test 7:00p to 12:00a
  • Merchandise/Volunteer Gift Tent 7:00p to 12:00a
  • Snapshot Photo Booth 7:00p to 12:00a
  • Beer Adventure Game 7:00p to 12:00a

Want to help?  Fill out a volunteer form on the Open Streets website at http://openstreetsbloomington.com/volunteer/.  If a volunteer position you are interested requires a temporary bartender permit, please print off and return form to volunteer organizer Anna Dragovich at 509 W. Howe St. Bloomington, IN 47403. You may also submit by email to annaldragovich@gmail.com.

The temporary bartender permit can be found using the following link: http://www.in.gov/atc/files/TempEmployeeApplication.pdf

About the Event…
